DEFINITION OF POSITION
The Senior Director of Workforce Development at Carteret Health Care is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives that promote professional growth, development, and retention of hospital staff. This role will work closely with hospital senior leadership to ensure educational programs meet standards of excellence and support the organization’s mission and long-term strategic goals. This role will oversee the implementation of workforce development pipelines and promote programs to help ensure the organization is poised to meet personnel demands in the future. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of various programs that provide education and outreach to the community at large. The candidate will work with a diverse group of hospital staff, including front-line clinical and non-clinical staff, directors, hospital executives, and external community stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional
-
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field

5 years of experience in workforce development or related field, preferably in a healthcare setting

Demonstrated experience in project management, program development, and budget oversight

Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to follow through

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels within the organization

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to workforce development
