The OpportunityAn exciting role has become available within Cambrias electrical service delivery team. As the Senior Electrician, working in our South Wales region, you will be responsible for shaping and improving the future of service delivery to Wales & West Housings residents.
You should be 18th edition qualified with either experience of acting as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) or able to demonstrate significant understanding of the QS role within a NICEIC Approved company. You will be able to diagnose faults, carry out repairs, new installations and certify your own work and hold the required inspection and testing qualification.
The rate of pay for this role is £18.90 per hour for a basic 40-hour week, average earnings £39,312k per year.
Your duties will include:
Supporting and managing a team of Electricians, monitoring the quality of work, scheduling repairs, installation and Electrical Installation Condition Reports, (EICRs), being able to competently complete audit the work of several Electricians.
To deliver training to all electrical staff, facilitate continual performance improvements and develop the electrical service.
To monitor the implementation of health and safety requirements, providing appropriate training, taking appropriate action and reporting non-compliance to the Principle Duty Holder.
Carry out and maintain relevant task specific risk assessments for all appropriate tasks such as work at height, electrical work, COSHH and manual handling.
To deliver toolbox training talks to operational staff.
Complete and maintain all necessary associated work documentation, records, systems, assessments and certification.
You will also participate in our 24/7 emergency call out service for which there is an addition payment. A vehicle is provided for work use and you must possess a full valid driving license with 9 points or less.
