The Position

This job exists to drive the Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics agenda for the North American Finance Organization.

This role in the team will be to drive projects and tasks related to the expansion of BI & Analytics across the North American Finance organization. In this role the individual will act as BI & Analytics Manager to the organization and bridge between Line of Business and technical experts to help translate the organizations needs into technical specifications to transform data into insights.

Relationships

This individual will report to an Associate Director in Finance.

Daily, the individual in this position will interact with stakeholders across the Finance organization with frequent interaction at the manager, senior manager, and director level. Moreover, on a semi-regular basis the job will also interact with the VP and SVP in F&O. From an external perspective the individual will interact with vendors in the digital space, e.g., analytics or developing consultants.

In terms of global interaction this person will collaborate closely with the Global Finance BI & Analytics team located in HQ Finance.

The position does not have any direct reports, has no dotted line reporting to anyone, and will not manage any contingent workers.

Essential Functions

• Driving strategic BI and Analytics projects

• Roll-out and scaling of self-service analytics setup

• Regular updates to stakeholders re. ongoing activities and strategic priorities

• Drive the BI & Analytics journey forward according to the latest trends in digital

• Key Area #1

  • Project scoping, definition of user journeys, understanding of underlying data and data requirements, communication with the product owner and process experts as well as responsibility for launch and roll-out of the respective tools

• Key Area #2

  • Define ambition for Finance & supply chain with regards to what digital skills and competency levels we want people to reach across our teams and structure a training and upskilling framework that will result in achieving that ambition

  • Work with technical tool developers (e.g., in IT, GBS, or externally) to develop tools that can be used by the F&SC organization to easily access and visualize data for local needs

• Key Area #3

  • Develop presentations, newsletters, and hold update meetings with project stakeholders from Analyst level up to the SVP of Finance & Operations

• Key Area #4

  • Close collaboration and knowledge sharing with other digital and analytics teams across the NN organization

  • Monitor external trends in terms of new technologies and approaches for leveraging digital in finance organizations and ensure that we take them into account in the team

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree is required; Master’s degree preferred, in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or another relevant subject

• Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience desired

• 3-4 years as an experienced developer in BI visualization tools and technologies, e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik sense

• 3-4 years of experience with Data transformation leveraging tools like Alteryx or Python

• 3-4 years of experience as a digital project manager with focus on translating business needs into technical requirements

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially targeted towards senior Management

• Technical understanding of Finance and Supply Chain processes
