Senior Program Manager- Licensing and Maintenance
The Technology Optimization team in Business Enablement Technology supports the office of the CTO by ensuring that we invest in applications that are the best fit both now and future, that are secure, that integrate into our current systems, and we also ensure retirement of systems that no longer serve us. To improve and expand this program, we seek a highly skilled Senior Program Manager. This person will work across teams to improve and measure the Licensing and Maintenance (L&M) process with a focus on CX, data quality, automation, and reporting that focuses on actions our leaders can take to achieve our investment targets. They will manage the success of the work side by side with the Senior Manager, Program Manager leading Technical Program Managers as well.
What you’ll do:
- Support an Expedia -wide L&M optimization program, including driving cross-functional teams to discover and deliver L&M objectives.
- Builds the basic structure of a program (possibly from scratch) that may include: Business case, prioritization alignment, team engagement, identifying a sponsor, identifying stakeholders, 'sales' pitch to leadership, budget, etc.
- Establish and effectively manage working relationships with stakeholders, serving as a model for the team
- Dig into available data and set an informed strategy that delivers L&M optimization goals
- Connect cross-team working group to build common tools, language, systems, and structure to drive the program
- Manage program improvements and participate in prioritization decisions
- Communicate program strategy and status to team, stakeholders, and sponsors with materials that are clear, concise, easily found, and current
- Support the team in establishing and effectively managing working relationships with stakeholders
- Work with team to manage actual or potential gaps in resourcing for projects and recommend strategies to mitigate
- Evaluate the full complement of team talent, identify gaps, and implement action plans to fill gaps and drive achievement of goals
- Craft team culture by building rituals, processes, and practices that celebrate wins, strengthen team bonds, and create an open trusting environment which supports diverse opinions, approaches, candid conversations, and critiques
- Coaches the team in stakeholder management, project management best practices, proactive communication, and cross-team delivery
Who you are:
- An end-to-end program manager who has delivered high-visibility, long-term programs
- Have strong experience improving existing processes and delivering desired outcomes
- An excellent communicator with interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills, including plan status, results, and presentations
- A data-driven leader: prioritize work based on metrics, set clear quality bars for the program and team
- Have 8+ years of overall corporate work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $ 161,500 to $ 226,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $ 258,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
