CIC is seeking a skilled hands-on Senior Revenue Accountant with at least four years of experience. This position will report into the Senior Finance Manager and will be responsible for the Company’s US client billings and collections as well as helping to develop and maintain the worldwide billing systems, processes, and controls.

The finance team is a relatively small, tight-knit group that will allow the opportunity for project work as well as collaboration and cooperation with other team members.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Processing US invoices for all US clients, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Creating and providing the invoicing file used by our international subsidiaries for their monthly client invoicing.
  • Ensuring all client invoice inquiries and adjustments are addressed in a timely manner with a high level of customer service.
  • Processing client onboarding and offboarding for US based clients.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable aging to ensure that client collections communication is initiated as needed and all US receivables are collected on a timely basis.
  • Managing client deposits, ensuring that additional deposits and refunds are processed in a timely manner.
  • Processing client payments through the monthly ACH collections process and ensuring that all ACH client draws are accurately processed.
  • Ongoing maintenance of all invoicing and receivable systems including price increases and process and systems updates required for new revenue streams.
  • Monthly close responsibilities, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations relating to revenue and accounts receivable.
  • Maintaining an understanding of the business that allows scalable continuous improvement to our billing and receivables processes.
  • Providing AR process and systems training to employees as needed.
  • Working closely with our client relationship managers to provide information and support needed during the client sales process and throughout the client life cycle.
  • Working with international sites on the establishment of, and ongoing support, for all systems related to the invoicing process.
  • Ensuring that all sales taxes are billed in accordance with sales tax requirements.
  • Having a strong understanding of revenue recognition requirements under ASC 606.
  • Being the subject matter expert for all aspects of the invoicing and accounts receivable cycle in our current systems as well as our anticipated systems implementation.
  • Independently and proactively liaising with all relevant stakeholders on proper usage of our internal proprietary reservations system to ensure that data outputs from that system enable accurate client billings.
  • Assisting with the establishment of documented policies and procedures and rolling them out to all subsidiaries.
  • Working with our auditors during the annual audit and preparing schedules, supplying supporting documentation as required.
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects as required.

  • Strong working knowledge of financial systems.
  • Experience working in a multinational company, a plus.
  • Hotel/real estate experience, a plus.

YOU HAVE
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in a billing/accounts receivable role.
  • Excellent Excel proficiency with a demonstrated ability to effectively analyze large, multi-company data set.
  • Demonstrated experience working with NetSuite, including proficiency in using its various modules and features.
