What’s the role?

As a Senior Service Manager for Operations, you will lead and manage the service management team both permanent and supplier employees.

This opportunity will be a vital part of our Tech Operations team, you will ensure the end-to-end services are designed, planned, implemented and improved in line with both current and future business needs. You will also coordinate with all technology functions to ensure the consistent deployment of processes, tools and technology essential for effective Service management and delivery

You will have a passion for Service Operations and Change Management - whilst ensuring that the end-to-end services are efficiently run and controlled to meet the needs of the business they will also be expected to transform and adapt the service model, processes, tooling and support organisations (internal and external) to support the aggressive 3 – 5-year technology plans that Whitbread are currently embarking on.

We are going through a very exciting time right now at Whitbread and have over 120 tech projects in flight with 3 Major Transformation programmes!!

Who are you?

  • Somebody who knows service operations, who has a real drive for managing large teams!
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical people to enhance understanding and drive to decisions that lead to positive outcomes Experience of training teams across various levels.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels!
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience.
