As a key member of the Tax Reporting and Compliance department you will play a meaningful role in carrying out all aspects of the Tax responsibilities and ensure we are effectively delivering the powerful Enovis story to our current and prospective investors.
Job Title: Tax Analyst
Reports To: Senior Director of Tax Reporting and Compliance
Key Relationships: External Tax Consultants and Auditors Finance, treasury, and legal department personnel
Location: Wilmington, Delaware HQ (Hybrid onsite 3-days a week, remote 2-days a week)
The Tax Analyst will directly report to the Senior Director of Tax Reporting & Compliance and have indirect reporting to both the Senior Manager of US Compliance and Reporting as well as the Director of International Tax and is responsible for preparation US federal and state tax compliance, assisting with US annual and quarterly provision for Enovis US-based multinational operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of US federal and state tax annual compliance workpapers including underlying calculations, estimates, extensions, and other requests
- Coordinate third party resources utilized in preparation of Federal and State tax workpapers as needed.
- Perform tax research on various topics including (but not limited to) US Federal and State income tax including US Taxation of International Operations, Non-US income tax and indirect taxes as needed.
- Assist with preparation of international tax information returns.
- Preparation of US Domestic Corporate (Consolidated) and separate Company returns for both federal and state income tax purposes
- Preparation of underlying calculations for US tax provision to be included in global financial statements in accordance with USGAAP ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes
- Assist with special projects in support of Director of International Tax and Director of Tax Compliance and Reporting
- Support Tax Technologies Manager in implementing tax compliance process improvements using technology and data management tools.
- Regularly communicate and build rapport with management, peers, staff, and outside consultants
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Company.
Initial Short-Term Objectives
- Preparation of US Federal and State income tax returns including US international calculations
- Preparation of provision calculations for quarterly and annual filings
- Integration into tax team supporting various tax team members.
Longer-Term Objectives
- Improvement of tax provision and compliance quarterly workpapers including automation
- Assist with documentation of tax positions for annual year end provision.
- Integration of financial consolidation system into provision and compliance processes
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Intermediate experience in MS Excel and proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in process improvement through automation and technology
- Fluent in oral and written English language Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail oriented with respect to ensuring deadlines are met
- High level of discretion, diplomacy, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
Desired Characteristics:
- Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) candidate is a plus
- Previous accounting internships and/or other relevant accounting experience
