Thomas Cuisine is hiring Servers to Join our team in Arlington Heights at Lutheran Home, 800 W Oakton Arlington Heights!

A new coffee shop Bistro is opening.

Full-time AM shifts will be available and Part-time PM shift is great for students or as a second job. PM shift starts at 4P and done no later than 8P. Weekends and holiday will be a part of all schedules. Staff will be crossed trained for the bistro and the dining room.

Opportunities available:
Days of the week and shifts will vary.

Successful candidates will have knowledge of the following:

• Competently and accurately process diets and nourishment order requests in the computer systems to optimize efficiency and productivity
• Assist residents with placing meal and snack orders, taking into consideration any food allergies, cultural preferences, and CMC therapeutic diets restrictions (Diabetic, house, real, GI Bland, etc.)
• Assure accuracy and appropriateness of meal including food texture, fluid consistency, appearance, portion control, taste, and temperature. Able to make appropriate substitutions according to meal satisfaction standards.
• Perform first in, first out. Accurately cover, label, and date all food items. Ensure all outdated items are discarded. Accurately document food temperatures.
• Maintain courteous, considerate, cooperative, and accurate communication with facility personnel, patients, and families.
• Attend department meetings and in-services

Qualifications:

• Ability to access and enter data to form or entry functions on a computer
• Ability to write notes and brief instructions using correct spelling and grammar
• Deliver friendly and efficient customer service
• Speak clearly and present information orally
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions
• Six (6) months previous experience with one-on-one customer service interaction.
