You will:
- Work 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with occasional overtime throughout the week or on weekends. Pay for this role is $19.00/hr.
- Have working knowledge of how to operate power industrial equipment (i.e. stand-up and order picker forklift trucks)
- Support manufacturing production lines by supplying raw materials needed in production process
- Perform tasks associated with material flow and inventory to ensure inventory accuracy
- Execute picks for internal delivery to production cells while validating order accuracy
- Complete daily inspections and record any unsafe conditions on power industrial equipment
- Operate a RF smart scanner
- Pack, load, and unload a variety of conveyances
- Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of hazardous conditions and support Pentair’s safety programs by following all established safety processes
You should:
- Have basic math skills
- Have the ability to speak, read, and write basic English
- Be able to follow standard work procedures
- Know how to handle complexity in a fast pace manufacturing environment
- Be able to work overtime on a regular basis
- Have excellent attendance
- Be able to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-50 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach
- Be able to stand for an entire eight hour shift
- Be able to work independently and also with a team
- Have the ability to identify unsafe conditions and report them to the department team leader, supervisor, manager, or Safety Coordinator
- Perform other duties as assigned
We like, but don’t require:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Two years previous material handler experience in a manufacturing/assembly setting
- OSHA-approved forklift license
- Basic knowledge of JDE systems and Kanban principles
- Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques
- Be able to conduct audits for Quality, 5S and Safety
