You will:
  • Work 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with occasional overtime throughout the week or on weekends. Pay for this role is $19.00/hr.
  • Have working knowledge of how to operate power industrial equipment (i.e. stand-up and order picker forklift trucks)
  • Support manufacturing production lines by supplying raw materials needed in production process
  • Perform tasks associated with material flow and inventory to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Execute picks for internal delivery to production cells while validating order accuracy
  • Complete daily inspections and record any unsafe conditions on power industrial equipment
  • Operate a RF smart scanner
  • Pack, load, and unload a variety of conveyances
  • Move material within the warehouse and manufacturing plant
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by work area, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hats, gloves, and steel toe shoes.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of hazardous conditions and support Pentair’s safety programs by following all established safety processes

You should:
  • Have basic math skills
  • Have the ability to speak, read, and write basic English
  • Be able to follow standard work procedures
  • Know how to handle complexity in a fast pace manufacturing environment
  • Be able to work overtime on a regular basis
  • Have excellent attendance
  • Be able to lift frequently 3-25 pounds and infrequently 25-50 pounds, as well as regularly bend and reach
  • Be able to stand for an entire eight hour shift
  • Be able to work independently and also with a team
  • Have the ability to identify unsafe conditions and report them to the department team leader, supervisor, manager, or Safety Coordinator
  • Perform other duties as assigned
We like, but don’t require:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years previous material handler experience in a manufacturing/assembly setting
  • OSHA-approved forklift license
  • Basic knowledge of JDE systems and Kanban principles
  • Basic knowledge of LEAN techniques
  • Be able to conduct audits for Quality, 5S and Safety
