LondonEnergy are currently looking to recruit a Site Operative for our reuse and recycle centre at Summers Lane, Barnet.

As the Site Operative you will control traffic management within the tipping hall, to operate mobile plant within the area, to inspect/sort loads/waste upon reception and ensure the working area is always kept clean.
The Site Operative is also required to ensure all weighbridge transactions are accurately recorded utilising the electronic audit system or manually in the event of systems failure. To operate static and mobile plant in the loading of bulk waste vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

As the Site Operative you are also responsible for:

• To use mobile plant as required to safety contain in and transfer material from the storage bays, including pushing up, and loading hoppers and lorried
• Identify potential hazards relating to all aspects of the operation, including customers, reporting any discrepancies to the Line Manager.
• Carry out waste inspection checks as per company policy or as directed, reporting any non-conforming wastes or dealing with same as required.
• Assist the Supervisors in the control of traffic within the tipping hall, and such other areas as may be directed.
• Ensure all weighbridge transactions are carried out without any delays in accordance with the Company’s terms of contract.
• Monitor all traffic movements around the weighbridge and civic amenities site.
• Deal with all non-conforming waste and waste deliveries, including those not carrying the required documentation.
• Carry out daily routine maintenance checks to all plant.
• Operate the automatic barrier system for vehicles entering the bulk transfer station and civic amenities site.
