Responsibilities of a Social Services Assistant:

• Assisting social workers with their daily tasks.
• Assessing clients and determining the type of help they need.
• Working with social workers to determine treatment plans.

Qualifications for a Social Services Assistant:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary education or work experience in a social service or health related field a plus (such as social services, social work, patient registration, care coordination, or discharge planning).
• Must be familiar with Medical Terminology.
• Must be proficient in the use of personal computer (Windows, Internet, and Applications/Programs navigation)
