We have been supporting the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs for over 18 years focusing on Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Our general technology ecosystem consists of Linux, Oracle, Java, Azure Cloud and various COTS products.

We are seeking a Software Development Manager to join our talented, dynamic team in St. Cloud, FL 34769.

**Must be local to work on-site in our office - must reside local to the Central FL area.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in a Software Development/Software Engineering role specifically with proficiency in JAVA programming in an Enterprise-level capacity. Must have a high level of customer support, communication and leadership skills. Management/mentoring skills to support the software development team and project manager. Software development skills including design, development, testing, deployment, code reviews, deployments and support required. Must have recent experience working as a Software Developer/Engineer as well as recent management roles. Must be highly technical with experience in Java.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline
• 3+ years of experience in a Technical Manager role
• 5+ years of experience in a Software Developer/Engineer role
• Must be highly technical with software development experience specifically in Java, JavaScript, HTML and CSS; Well versed in Object Oriented Design (OOD), programming and design patterns
• Capacity to understand complex enterprise software environments and end-to-end architecture workflow
• Display a high level of professionalism, customer support, presenting to groups, and attention to detail
• Superb leadership skills and the ability to harness the team to produce the highest quality deliverables while meeting project milestones
• Experience with Project Management and leading projects/software deployments
• Experience in team building, coaching, leading teams, motivating and engaging software development teams; Ability to manage and mentor on-site and remote teams for successful
• Knowledge of best practices related to legacy development, scalability and performance
• Must be able to work in a dynamic/challenging environment
• Knowledge of architecture styles and APIs including SOAP, REST, or RPC
• Ability to understand users and translate customer requirements
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks and software testing
• Analyzing existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features
• Recommending software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
• On-call support and managing deployments monthly
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization/project
• US Government Clearance (Public Trust) is required for this position- MUST be a U.S. citizen or hold a Permanent Green Card - security background investigation and drug test required
• Must work on-site at our St. Cloud Office - Must possess a valid Driver's License with dependable transportation -- Be sure your resume references your current place of residence.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
