About the Role
Icario continues to innovate in building our cloud platform powered by AWS that delivers the right message to the right person at the right time, enabling people to take action and improve their health and wellbeing. If you are an engineering manager who's passionate about building innovative products that scale to hundreds of millions of transactions per year, we are the right team for you. Reporting into the Sr. Director, Software Engineering, we are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our Engineering department and lead several teams to accelerate our value delivery.

Why We Need You
- Lead a team of Software Engineers who are part of Agile development teams building the Icario Connect platform and supporting technologies in AWS
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure that our engineering organization can deliver value to our clients quickly and with high quality
- Coach, nurture, and develop talented Software Engineers working in an effective and efficient development process that serves all stakeholders
- Participate in the refinement of requirements and the design of technology solutions
- Partner with our Architects to coach and develop team members’ technical skills
- Partner with the technology leadership team and recruiting teams to attract and retain a top tier software engineering and testing team

- Deep understanding of the process and interactions needed to allow business team members to articulate customer requirements in a way that enables designers and engineers to deliver powerful solutions to their business problems
- Experience growing individuals, maintaining team dynamics, and building teams where everyone is learning, and everyone contributes as a careful steward of our culture of diversity, inclusion, and trust
- Prior success as an Engineering Manager and experience leading and building high-performance teams and providing technical direction
- Desire to solve tough problems by delivering quality cloud software at scale
- Knowledge of health care data security requirements including HIPAA and HITRUST is a plus
- Experience working in public cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Refine and promote Agile practices to ensure that commitments and capacity are aligned, and ensure timely completion and delivery of features with quality, security, and scalability in mind
- Fluent in driving continuous improvement of development standards, tools, and processes in the department to improve the platform and the developer experience (what’s good for engineers is good for the platform and is good for customers and patients)
- Energized by a modern approach to software delivery and platform development (UI-centric, API-first approach)
- Experience actively coaching and mentoring team members in their careers
- Track record in partnering with recruiting and leveraging your network to build incredible engineering teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
