Who are we?

Thames Water is the UK’s largest water and wastewater company. We make a daily difference to our 15 million customers by supplying 2.6 billion litres of water through 32,000 km of pipes, keeping taps flowing and toilets flushing.

What will this role involve?

A key part of the role will be to ensure we make progress on our key issues, while keeping solutions aligned to organization and industry standards and with other programs/projects, for which a seamless collaboration with your team and with other Architects across TW is fundamental.

We are looking for you to:

You'll need to demonstrate that you'll be able to perform in the following areas:

  • Understand the problem space: delivery of solution architectures and designs for solutions through their full lifecycle, while maintaining alignment with IT/industry standards and company strategy.
  • Being recognized as a trusted adviser to business stakeholders and being able to quickly “map” the business needs to application functionality/features.
  • Being able to lead a project from an architecture perspective, ensuring that all decisions that are architecturally relevant can be taken following the appropriate governance (including peer review) and proactively informing the project plan in that direction.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to operate within cross functional teams.
  • A track record of delivery in both waterfall and agile environments.

What is in it for you?

Thames Water is a dynamic, rewarding, and diverse place to work, with opportunities around every corner. If you join our team, you will enjoy a fulfilling career and flexible working arrangements.
