In order to apply, you must have previous experience as a Beverage Manager or Sommelier in an upscale, high-volume restaurant similar to Halls Chophouse. Please, no exceptions.
We believe the experiences shared through a meal and a bottle of wine can linger with guests for a lifetime. As the Sommelier for Halls Chophouse, you will educate and empower our guests to navigate our wine list like a story. Each region, varietal and vineyard will come alive through the power of your knowledge and passion for wine. This is a full-time management position.

You are:

• A student of the vine—your extensive knowledge of wine continues to grow through rigorous studies. You believe you never stop growing and learning—every detail matters. You are able to lead the guest beyond the bottle, explaining how the smell of the soil marries with the climate to create each note in the finished product.
• A true believer in hospitality—you understand the difference between service and hospitality. Displaying one of our core values, your hospitality will welcome each individual into our restaurant for an experience unlike any other. You strive to make every guest feel at home, at the table and with the wines.
• A self-leader—you understand leadership starts with yourself. As an ambassador for beverages, you lead yourself with honesty and integrity which translates to how you treat your coworkers and guests.
• A versatile beverage aficionado—your beverage knowledge includes spirits, beer, and cocktails. You understand why whiskey and bourbon are different as well as the origins and ingredients of classic cocktails.

Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus, but not required. Proven, extensive knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is a must.
