The Brews Hall, located on the Hermosa Beach Pier, is Hiring a Sous Chef!

The Brews Hall Hermosa Beach is home to BUZZROCK Brewing Company, Chingon Brewing Company and a one-of-a-kind menu featuring four different food concepts: George Lopez’s Chingon Kitchen, Colin Cowherd’s Herd Burger, Chicken TWILI (The Way I like it) and Rock’N Fish Grill, a Manhattan Beach steak and fish house favorite. The Brews Hall also features a full bar with hand crafted margaritas.

What you will do…

As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for opening and managing shifts, preparing accurate schedules, keeping the line set up and ready for success, praising, coaching and motivating the kitchen team, educating servers, and filling in any gaps necessary (line cooking, expo, etc). In addition, you will participate in the creative process and help continue to evolve the menu. Finally, and most importantly, you will work in conjunction with the Front of House to craft the perfect experience for our guests.

This position is for you if you have…

• Minimum 2-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience
• Minimum 2-3 years experience at a full-service restaurant
• Long tenure with previous employers (minimum 2 years at each job)
• Excellent communication and organization skills (bilingual preferred)
• An inspiring leadership style that promotes trust and teamwork
• A flexible schedule
• The ability to perform under pressure
