Job description
Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Space Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM) SME to support the Headquarters United States Space Force (HQ USSF) Chief Strategy and Resourcing Office (CSRO). This office is responsible for carrying out and executing strategic planning, long-range resource allocation, and developing, directing, and conducting USSF programming activities necessary to complete the USSF Program Objective Memorandum (POM). Additionally, the CSRO delivers integrated Service space strategies, policies, and requirements to provide organized, trained, and equipped space forces for employment by Joint Force Commanders.
What you will be doing:
- Manage Current Capability requirements owned by the USSF.
- Write capability requirements for future Space Based Environmental Monitoring systems.
- Support Battle Space Awareness branch, expanding mission scope to Space Domain Awareness, ISR, and remote sensing to include SBEM.
- Perform routine staff functions - responding to HQ taskers, prepping material for senior leaders, and managing projects with timeliness and professionalism.
What you will need:
- Master’s Degree plus a minimum of 15 years of experience in an Operations, Engineering, Scientific, Data Science, Software Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analysis, Policy or Planning field, or equivalent experience/responsibility.
- Experience writing JCIDS and Capability Requirements for Space Systems (desired) or military systems.
- Experience/Knowledge set on current, past, and future Space Weather Systems, both military and civilian weather systems (i.e. DoD, NOAA, and NASA)
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- DAU certs RQM1100, RQM1010, RQM3100, and ACQ101 (Desired)
Experience:
- Military or civilian/contractor experience in either Weather, Space Operations/Acquisition, or Intelligence. A hybrid of all three is highly desired.
