Social Studies TeacherEpping Middle High School, Epping, NHSY 2023-2024Middle level Social Studies teacher needed for a permanent full-time opening to join our middle school team. Skilled in educating students in the area of middle school social studies, we are looking for an enthusiastic educator who will design and deliver quality student-centered instruction that will develop students knowledge of social studies concepts and engage them in inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. Excellent classroom management skills, collaborative nature and experience with competency-based education are preferred.NH Certification or statement of eligibility in social studies or related field required. Knowledge of and experience in best practices of middle level instruction preferred.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES1.Plan and deliver instruction based upon the state curriculum and student needs.2.Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of student centered learning.3.Manage classroom procedures and student behavior in a manner consistent with child development.4.Communicate with students and their families about class activities and progression of learning.5.Assess and monitor student progress on learning standards to inform instruction.6.Collaborate with all educators at EMHS to enhance and share best practices.7.Reflect on teaching practices and participate in ongoing professional development for growth.8.Implement 504 and IEP accommodations and modifications and meet the learning needs of all students.9.Follow District policies and procedures and maintain accurate records.10.Complete other duties as assigned by the principal.Please submit application materials including a letter of interest, resume, three current letters of recommendation, current NH Certification or statement of eligibility and transcripts electronically to: Tiffany Snyder, Administrative Assistant to the Principal, at tsnyder@eppingsd.org.Deadline: May 15, 2023Equal Opportunity Employer
