ABOUT US: Stars Therapy Services is a leader in providing Assessments and Early Intervention for children from birth to age 3 with developmental delays in a naturalistic environment. This includes providing Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy using evidence-based practices, while also maintaining cultural sensitivity. We are a contracted, dedicated service provider through the San Andreas Regional Center that services families throughout 4 counties: Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Both Full Time and Part Time Pediatric Speech & Language Pathologists with a passion for working with infants & toddlers in their formative years. You must be comfortable working in a clinic setting as well as traveling to client homes. Whether you have worked in a school or had your own private practice, if your vision is to serve the community, we are looking for you.
ROLE OVERVIEW: Pediatric Speech & Language Pathologist
REPORTS TO: Early Start Program Director
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required and valid California SLP license; ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
- 2 - 3 years of related experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; American Sign Language or bi-lingual ability preferred.
- Ability to work in a team oriented setting and collaborate with peers/leadership.
- Up-to-date CPR & First Aid Certification (adult, child, & infant) or ability to obtain
- Experience with the following assessment tools preferred, but not required: Battelle Developmental Inventory-3 and REEL 4
BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites. Valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance, and clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain DOJ background clearance.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
- TB and COVID Vaccinations (medical or religious exemptions accepted)
