Expectations for this role:

• Good understand of MSSQL architecture and internals
• Strong with basics
• Expert in performance tuning and query optimization have good experience working on large databases (5TB – 20 TB)
• Good experience in HA/DR solutions like Always ON, Replication and clustering
• Good knowledge and experience in TSQL scripting
• Automation experience with PowerShell / TSQL / Python….
• SQL Server development background will be an added advantage

Minimum 12+ years’ Experience

· At least 5+ years of SQL DBA experience covering implementation, production support and project work. At least 4+ years of exposure as L3/SME support role.

· Knowledge and Understanding of ITIL process

· In client facing role(s) for at least 3 years.

· On call support for at least 3 years.

Excellent Documentations skills in MS SharePoint 2010 /2013, Confluence.

Mandatory skills - SQL Server administration required skills

· Knowledge on AWS Cloud services like RDS, S3, Redshift etc

· MySQL/PostgresSQL knowledge / experience.

· Linux Knowledge.

· Experience with Azure

· Experience with Snow Flake

· Experience in PowerBI

Certifications Desired

• MS certifications on MSSQL latest versions or AWS/Azure

Responsibility :

· Ability to think about a problem, identify what we have and implement solutions to solve the problem independently

· Work with onsite client team / Application owners in US / UK to Migrate Applications, Database building and Decommissioning

· Ability to take lead on some projects and works as part of a team (follow another leader on others)

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to think in and out of the box. Come up with service improvement ideas and innovative solutions.

· Self-motivated, conscientious, dedicated individual who works equally well independently or as a member of a team

· Must be willing to take responsibility and ownership instead of waiting to be assigned work

· The candidate must be willing to provide On-call and weekend support for SQL and MYSQL, the support is rotated among DBA's in US and India

· Enable and support the team in resolving day-to-day production issues, application upgrades and patches, performance analysis, disaster recovery implementation, capacity planning and other activities as may be necessary.

· Work on Change implementations during UK, US business hours & weekends as per change management process

· Documentation & Operational performance reporting

· Own Service Improvements

· Execute on demand IT projects

· Drive compliance to client and organization processes and policies

· Ensure Quality of deliverables
