Senior Financial Analyst - Operations

Job Summary

The Senior Operations Analyst will be responsible for the support, report and analysis of our Buffalo and Trumbull Operations sites, including the timely review and correction of actuals costs and costing processes, monthly reporting, and presentations, in addition to performing budgets and forecasts.

You will support the Operations Finance Site Leader with ad hoc costing analysis to enable continuous improvement and understanding of production financials, working collaboratively with a range of cross-functional partners. You will possess an analytical mind, an ability to communicate financial ideas to non-financial business partners and a detailed based focus.

Essential Functions:

• Be the finance business partner to business area owners and managers, provide support and insight.
• Ensure product costing is accurate
• Annual standards development, review, and update for assigned sites
• Review and investigate monthly actuals and support corrective journals
• In conjunction with site management and operations controller develop annual operating plan and periodic forecasts
• Generate monthly variance analysis and commentaries for actuals versus latest forecast, budget and prior year for MTD, QTD and YTD positions.
• Manage the preparation and compilation of the periodic forecasts and budget for your operational site
• Develop weekly and monthly reporting packages to support the site finance and operations management
• Create financial models and analysis of financial and operational metrics to evaluate and direct business performance.
• Support management ad hoc projects and analysis.
• Support the sites Capital expenditure processes, including CEA Template completion Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management.
• Act within scope of authority consistent with company objectives, guidelines, policies and practices

Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in operations
• Cost Accounting or Plant finance experience with ability to work with multiple ERP and financial reporting systems.
• Experience with financial analysis
• Required Competencies Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically excel.
• Costing and Manufacturing Finance knowledge and experience.
