Position Overview
Reporting into the Director of National Retail Channel Marketing – the Sr. Manager, Channel Marketing will be responsible for driving marketing efforts for mobile product portfolio in the US working closely with Samsung’s retail partners. Furthermore, the scope focuses on integrated go-to-market planning, market analysis, and best-in-class Samsung Galaxy branded experience within Omni-channel retail settings. This role will provide thought leadership to multiple marketing and cross functional support teams in mobile marketing, corporate marketing, sales, retail partners as well as multiple agencies in the development of demand and traffic generating marketing campaigns, in-store experiences (select partners), promotions, and comprehensive advertising materials & plans, including experiential campaigns. Must develop and deliver executive level recommendations followed by action plans managed to completion.
Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Formulate and manage channel marketing plans and programs, including formulate Go-To-Market strategies for national retailers such as BestBuy, Amazon, Walmart, Costco, etc. across all of Samsung’s Mobile product categories: Phones, Tablets, Watches, PCs, Accessories and Services.
  • Execute marketing tactics flawlessly during all product lifecycle elements while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Responsible for actively managing multi-million-dollar digital advertising programs.
  • Responsible for actively managing several agency partners.
  • Responsible for the end to end online customer experience journey
  • Manage marketing strategy and spend for retail partners, evaluating campaign effectiveness while driving attainment of various marketing KPIs.
  • Work with cross functional teams (Project Management, Product Planning, Retail, Finance, etc.) to create, update and drive product launch schedules, marketing and ecommerce placements for all new products ranged at assigned partners.
  • Establish a comprehensive master launch preparation schedule capturing all key launch milestones and unique requirements for each of the assigned accounts.
  • Work with various teams to establish creative strategy for your partner and asset (e.g. photography, logos, key visuals, messaging, etc.) delivery schedules that support the needs of each assigned retailer.
  • Responsible for the strategy for in store customer experience journey (select partners)
  • Work with various internal teams to conduct data collections, research and insight creation to identify unique selling points for each retailer.
  • Work back with broader, central channel marketing team on various strategic acquisition and retention driving initiatives such as hyper-local, regional strategies and execution.
  • Collaborate with Cross-functional teams, agencies and retail partners to drive CDM, media, partnership and experiential programming planning and execution.
  • Spearhead the foundational elements of the communication strategy from 1) translation of the target consumer into addressable audiences, communities and opportunity segments to 2) Directing the preparation of the messaging strategies and toolkits.
  • Responsible for communicating the product positioning throughout the team and assisting the organization in developing customer presentations.
  • Present clear and actionable evaluations and recommendations to management and develop a comprehensive channel marketing overview strategy for your account.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, at times with a limited amount of direction.
Background/Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in channel marketing, trade marketing, or consumer journey marketing. MBA a plus.
  • Strong Social and Digital expertise – including mastery and optimization of tactics like PPC, Display Ads
  • Strong agency / retail marketing / CRM experience
  • Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
  • Partnering with Sales to drive sales and market share growth.
  • Prior experience in marketing in high-tech, telecommunications environments or retail industries preferred
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic fast-paced industry and matrix organization with multiple constituents
  • Should have advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint knowledge and skills
  • Strong communication, both written (PPT presentations) and oral skills
  • The ability to work both alone or in a team environment to achieve personal and team project goals, including the completion of assignments within and exceeding established time frames
Skills and Qualifications
Physical/Mental Demands:
Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between more than 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable work utilizing high visual acuity / detail, numeric / character distinction and moderate hand / finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenges and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include PC’s, printers, copiers, faxes and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position.

WASHINGTON STATE ONLY
The salary range for this role is expected to be between $145,000 and $155,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
