TIAA has an opportunity for an Enterprise Hybrid Cloud Observability Manager. This role will define and implement our Enterprise monitoring strategy for Multi-Cloud Monitoring and Observability. This includes the collection, delivery, analysis, and visualization of Key monitoring telemetry data around metrics, logs, and traces.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of multi-cloud platforms; possess a deep understanding of ITIL processes with a focus on multi cloud observability manager. Furthermore, will design and build monitoring data lake and leverage Machine Learning for anomaly detection, correlation of metrics, traces, and log data for unified end-to-end visibility for applications and platforms. Possess an understanding of AWS monitoring solutions and integration with external tools; have a high-level understanding of GCP, Azure and Redhat Openshift IaaS offerings and their native services.
This position can be located at one of our major hub offices (NYC, Iselin, NJ, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Frisco, TX, Denver, CO, or Broomfield, CO).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Help define and implement our Enterprise Monitoring strategy for Multi-Cloud Monitoring and Observability. This includes the collection, delivery, analysis, and visualization of Key monitoring telemetry data around metrics, logs, and traces.
- Build and integrate best-of-breed observability platforms in support of that strategy. Build orchestration and automation tooling around off-the-shelf solutions, as well as build solutions that meet the unique needs of TIAA.
- Design and Build Monitoring data lake and leverage Machine Learning for anomaly detection, correlation of metrics, traces, and log data for unified end-to-end visibility for application and platforms.
- Assist in developing self-service frameworks to onboard applications and cloud native service monitoring based on pattern through CI/CD frameworks.
- Support Cyber SIEM Splunk platform and assist in onboarding new data sources required for cyber threat detection.
- Directly collaborate with End Users, Command Center, Production Support teams and all product stakeholders to understand business requirements, help drive alignment, and build thoughtful solutions throughout your team.
- Possess a deep understanding of AWS monitoring solutions and integration with external tools.
- Understand GCP, Azure and Redhat Openshift IaaS offerings and their native services.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in the field of Information Technology; proven capabilities in IT systems development and administration, technical troubleshooting and complex problem solving and technical leadership
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience leading or being a part of a monitoring and automation team; experience with delivering value by building and maintaining a continuous delivery pipeline; experience working in a matrix global organization.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with monitoring tools such as Moogsoft, Splunk, APM Solutions (Dynatrace/signalFx/Datadog), ServiceNow, CMDB, Robotic Process, automation tools BigFix, Ansible.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with design and build monitoring data lake for unified end-to-end visibility for applications and platforms.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of multi cloud platforms
- Knowledge of AWS monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Xray and Azure analytics
- Experience working in a global organization and coordinating with remote resources.
- Ability to interface with all levels of stakeholders both internal and externally.
- Ability to coordinate the work and activities of others; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize work.

Base Pay Range: $138,700/yr. - $231,100/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
