The role is responsible for driving end to end supply chain excellence in alignment with global and regional enterprise initiatives. This role will ensure suppliers meet expectations in compliance (social, regulatory, and quality), customer service, production conformance, total delivered cost savings, while delivering innovation commitments. This includes establishing a strategic relationship with the ECMs, managing end to end product supply of the entire product portfolio with each supplier. This role must take full ownership of portfolio and projects which includes developing multiple projects and qualification plans for technical transfers, new product launches to ensure the Product Supply team can deliver the planned 3x business growth in next 2-3 years.

Customers and collaborative partners

Externally, this role will primarily interact with external contract manufacturing partners including senior leaders of the contract manufacturers, with support from internal cross-functional teams. Internally, this role will interact with different levels of stakeholders in quality, regulatory, logistics, R&D, planning, marketing and procurement, leading NA and collaborating with EU, APAC and LAO.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Ensure supply and deliver top tier customer service: proactively assess risks, capacity, capabilities and alternate options within the ECM network to ensure supply and deliver top tier customer service with Supplier On-Time In Full (sOTIF) of >95%.
  • Capable and robust ECM network: proactively identify, develop, and assess manufacturing designs, capacity and capability within the supply network or alternate supply sources, to deliver the current business plans and hyper-growth plans at 3x the current rate in 2-3 years.
  • Supply activation- must be able to own, lead and project manage different initiatives and priorities with strong sense of urgency and agility. Must be able to develop multiple master project and qualification plans for technical transfers, new product launches to ensure the Product Supply team can deliver the planned 3x business growth in next 2-3 years.
  • Relationship Management- build strong relationships with leaders and operating teams of ECMs, internal regional ECM leaders and cross functional business partners.
  • Ensure compliance: collaborate with respective functions to achieve objectives in regulatory, social, quality, supply agreements, procurement and financial compliance.
  • Improve product costs: achieve 3-5% cost improvement annually across the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Improve & control working & physical capital: optimize working capital through supplier reliability initiatives to achieve optimal days inventory and deliver over 95% OTIF.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Be the point of contact, be the subject matter expert and own the relationship with the assigned external contractors.
  • Ensures external contractors produces KCP’s production requirements that meets or exceeds 95% sku and production conformance.
  • Own, lead and project manage different initiatives and priorities with strong sense of urgency and agility. Must be able to develop multiple master project and qualification plans for technical transfers, new product launches to ensure the Product Supply team can deliver the planned 3x business growth in next 2-3 years.
  • Drive with sense of urgency and ownership of product and quality issues and risks with mitigation plans and deliver effective stakeholder management including managing crisis management plans.
  • Ensures robust external contractor network in place with sufficient capacity and operational capabilities to deliver current business requirements and 3x hyper growth plans in 3 years.
  • Continuously assess the ECM network and portfolio to drive improvement and simplification opportunities to deliver optimal supply chain and product portfolio.
  • Ensure appropriate cadence (daily, weekly and monthly) and business review meetings are established with key ECMs based on spend, product, supply and compliance performance.
  • Ensures projects at ECMs are initiated, implemented and completed on time and on budget.
  • Proactively identify supply and quality risks at ECMs and activate and manage supplier risk mitigation plans.
  • Lead engagements with suppliers to identify and activate manufacturing reliability improvement programs focused on speed, waste, and delay.
  • Regular planned visits to strategic and core external contractors for standardized operational assessments, alignment with senior supplier leadership, issue and risk management and resolutions and business review meetings.
  • Utilize visual controls and balanced scorecards through the Tier Accountability process with strategic and core external contractors to drive control, standardization and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning and Business leaders to proactively identify capacity requirements over the strategic horizon and develop network plans in collaboration with Procurement at lowest cost and on time.
  • Collaborate with Supply Planning to optimize production sequencing and order quantities to deliver customer requirements and working capital optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Social Responsibility and Regulatory teams to develop and execute annual supplier audit plans and drive timely & effective corrective actions with contractors.
  • Collaborate with R&E to identify Design for Value and Design for Reliability opportunities within products, packages, and processes.
  • Collaborate with R&E, Quality, Planning and Procurement to achieve operational qualifications, on-time start of production, inventory pre-build, and on-time start of ship for innovation and renovation projects.
  • Be able to work in a matrix organization, able to influence, steer and collaborate with cross functional teams and ability to problem solve with pragmatic solutions

Qualifications/Education/Experience Required:

  • Direct supply chain and procurement experiences in skin care, cosmetics, OTC, pharmaceuticals, or medical device industry.
  • Broad knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing operations of OTC and cosmetics.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 5+ years combined experience within supply chain operational functions (i.e., manufacturing, logistics, engineering, planning, or procurement/sourcing)
  • Lean 6-sigma working knowledge.
  • Capable of traveling unsupervised globally and regionally up to 30%.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Effective and influential communication (verbal and written) in English language.
  • Willingness to flex work hours as necessary to engage with global teams and supply partners.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills to different levels of stakeholders.

Differentiating

Manufacturing and/or engineering experience

FDA regulated product experience.

Certified lean six sigma black belt

Procurement experience in an OTC and cosmetic industry
