Under direct supervision and guidance from the principal investigator (PI), the successful candidate will perform the whole span of cancer immunotherapy research, from designing and cloning novel T cell receptors and reporters, generating engineered human and mouse T cells and performing animal experiments, which will potentially lead to human clinical trials in the same department.

The projects that the successful candidate is undertaking will be an exciting joint endeavor between the Interventional Radiology at UCSF and The Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at UCSF. The successful candidate will be provided with great support and mentoring from the principal investigator and the two departments. At first the SRA will start with taking over pre-existing projects while learning necessary skills, but it will be highly encouraged to synthesize new hypotheses and complete his/her own projects.
