Data audit:

We are looking for an experienced statistician/data analyst to carry out an audit and quality assessment of some of our most used datasets. The job will require the analyst to set up scoring criteria for said datasets, working with data input staff to put together a thorough picture of the quality of the dataset (including coverage, timeliness, quantity, etc.) and to highlight possible uses for the datasets and suggested improvements. The role will require someone with a sharp eye for detail who is experienced in working with quantitative and qualitative data sets from a range of systems.

The post holder will also have the ability to interact with a range of stakeholders across the business, including front line staff who input data to the systems, specialists in the data teams to better understand the architecture behind the data and also senior stakeholders in the business. The post holder will also be able to summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format, in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences. A key deliverable of this project will be an agreed scoring methodology that can taken forward by the business for application across other data sets.
