Job description
Curriculum design includes topics such as visual drag-and-drop coding interfaces, coding in Python, Java, Minecraft modding, Roblox, and game design.
For this position, we’re searching for candidates to develop courses in the following specific topics:
- Minecraft modding and Java coding
- Unity game development and C# programming
- Roblox game development and Lua programming
- Level design with Minecraft
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Prepare content and collateral media in accordance with pedagogy, and various style and formatting guidelines.
- Address course feedback and concerns in collaboration with other members of the Education team.
- Learn software and technology as assigned by your manager for the purpose of producing content.
- Create non-course support materials for assigned topics including installation guides, FAQs, troubleshooting tips, and more for students, instructors and clients.
The Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, game design, or related work experience.
- Experience with one or more of Python, JavaScript, C++, Java, Unity, Roblox, Minecraft or other relevant software or language.
- Able to write engaging technical curriculum for a youth audience.
- Experience teaching or working with kids is preferred
- Organized, exceptionally detail oriented, focused, independent, and reliable.
- Ability to meet or exceed critical writing deadlines in an autonomous work environment.
