Job Title: Sterile Processing Technologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technologist to join our team in Concord, MA. As a Sterile Processing Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing surgical equipment and supplies used in operating rooms, clinics, and other medical settings. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a sterile processing department, knowledge of sterilization techniques, and familiarity with medical instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Receive contaminated medical equipment and supplies from the surgical team and prepare them for sterilization.
• Set up and operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, steam sterilizers, and gas plasma sterilizers.
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments, trays, and equipment to ensure they are properly cleaned, sorted, and wrapped.
• Stock and maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
• Follow strict protocol to ensure that all equipment is sterile and ready for use.
• Attend in-service education and training programs to keep up-to-date on sterile processing techniques, instrumentation, and technology.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Sterile Processing Technologist certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a sterile processing department.
• Familiarity with medical instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and procedures.
• Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict protocols and procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
