Who We Are:
YSB's ultimate focus is to ensure all youth have access to safety, shelter and the opportunity to succeed. We do this through offering an array of services including a Street Outreach program for homeless or at high-risk of becoming homeless and are at risk of violence, physical and substance abuse and/or trafficking. We work to help youth repair foundations which have been jolted by abuse, neglect, homelessness and lack of resources, by guiding youth into safety, ensuring they have shelter, and teaching them how to overcome various obstacles. We know safety, shelter and providing success opportunities is key to establishing a bright future.
YSB has been serving youth in our community for 50 years. In 2023, YSB is building a new state-of-the-art building that will house all of YSB's programs.

What You’ll Do:
· As the Street Outreach Worker and Case Manager, you will provide youth with intense Case Management sessions utilizingTrauma-Informed Care, Positive Youth Development, and Evidence-Based Practices when working with the youth, and assist youth with connecting with services for their basic needs. This position also has the opportunity to work with the Safe Place and ESG program.
Your Accountabilities in the Role:
· You will provide documentation of Case Management sessions, groups, and all client interactions.
· You will provide written materials, health products and referrals for emergency housing, health care, education and employment.
· You will be present for youth who have experienced trauma and conduct activities at designated sites in the community.
· You will maintain professional and ethical boundaries between self and youth engaged in the program.
· Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
· Education: High School Diploma, working on a bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field preferred.
· Experience: 2 years of social work experience.
· Technology Skills: Basic computer skills, Office 365
· Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Leadership/ Behaviors: Must integrate trauma-informed and positive youth development skills into all interactions with clients while maintaining ethical boundaries and professionalism at all times.
· Culture Match: Must embrace YSB’s mission statement and values and must be willing to be part of a collaborative, caring and hardworking team.
Other Important Information:
Reports To: Supervisor of Street Outreach
Core Hours: 40 hours, some weekends hours.
Typical Work Week: Tuesday – Saturday
Direct Reports: None
Travel: Will travel to various sites in the county, YSB provides a vehicle.
