Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a String Tie/Bagger on 3rd shift at our Hickory/Longview, NC manufacturing plant. This position will string tie and label finished goods as a final preparation for shipment to customers. Verifying quality and quantity of products prior to labeling and tying is required with this position.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Group customer item number together by style number, purchase number and date
• Maintain consistent production flow and steady work pace in a high-volume department
• Ability to precisely follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Assist with other areas of the production area as needed.

Skills and requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 15lbs, repeatedly throughout shift
• Basic to general computer knowledge preferred
• Competent math skills and ability to organize quickly preferred
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others
• Must be able to work flexible hours, some weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• 3rd shift hours, Sun - Thurs, 8:30p - 5:00a.

Pay: $18.35 to $18.89/hr
