Freedom in Motion Parkour Gym is looking for a responsible and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Summer Camp Counselor (SCC). The SCC will assist the parkour coaches in facilitating the summer parkour camps and be responsible for opening and closing the summer camp sessions each day as they run the early drop-off and late pick-up sessions before and after the camp. The ideal candidate should be energetic, organized, and great with children. You will not be coaching parkour. This position’s focuses are on greeting and checking in campers and facilitating arts, crafts, and games for them during the early drop off and late pick up periods of camp.

This is a seasonal summer position. Great for building customer service and sales skills.

Responsibilities:

Early Drop-off:

Arrive before 7:30 am to open the gym and prepare the space for early arrivals.

Greet guests and check-in students for their day of camp.

Facilitate a safe and entertaining environment for early drop-off campers.

Offer activities such as arts and crafts or group games like hide and seek or story time.

Ensure a joyful setting for early drop-off campers before their parkour camp starts at 9 am.

During Camp hours:

Hand kids off to coach and check-in arrivals.

Leave at 9:15 for a break.

Come back at 11:45 to manage the morning to noon camp transition and stay till 3 to help close the camp and check-in kids for late pick up.

Late Pick-up:

Arrive after the main summer camp has concluded at 3 pm.

Greet guests and check-in students for their final hours waiting for their parents to pick them up.

Facilitate a fun and safe environment for late pick-up campers.

Offer activities such as arts and crafts or group games like hide and seek or story time.

Ensure a joyful setting for late pick-up campers while they wait for their parents to take them home for the day.

Requirements:

Must be available from 7:15 am to 5:15 pm daily.

Experience working with children.

Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.

Friendly and welcoming demeanor.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage time effectively.

The SCC will work seven hours each day and will be responsible for opening the gym, unlocking doors, and opening the gym. They will manage summer camp early child drop-off, greet parents with a welcoming smile, and check in guests in pike13 software. The SCC will set kids up with activities, facilitate arts, crafts, social games, and chill time, and transition kids into the camp with the help of the coach. During camp hours, the SCC will check kids in for the beginning of the summer camp, help kids flow to and from the summer camp sessions, and check kids in for late pick up after the summer camp concludes.

The SCC will greet kids into the late-pick up session, check in guests in gym software, set kids up with activities, facilitate arts, crafts, social games, and chill time, and transition kids into the late pick-up with the help of the coach.
