Position Overview
The After School Youth Development Specialist will be responsible for supervising up to 20 kids from 2-6 pm M-F. This includes creating and implementing activities, overseeing snack time, and assisting with homework.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a healthy and safe environment, supervising members in program area. Ensure inclusivity and FUN
• Assist with daily activities and homework support
• Record participation numbers for all programs/activities facilitated.
• Take pride in work and appearance, both personal and of the Club and program areas
• Ensure space, equipment and supplies are cleaned and ready before programs begin, cleaned throughout the day and at the conclusion of each day that everything is organized and well-maintained

Skills and Knowledge Required

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and to develop solutions to problems with limited supervision.
• Ability and desire to work with youth ages 6-12 OR 13-18 year olds in a variety of environments, including small group and large group settings.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
• Self-motivated, positive, mature, and FUN.
• WA State DL
