The Leonardo DRS Tactical Systems team develops secure communications and intelligence, information, cyber, electronic warfare and space (I2CEWS) technologies for airborne, shipboard, ground, man-portable, and space applications. We are the world leader in Intelligence Broadcast System (IBS) based software defined radios and terminals for over 20 years and Link-11 data terminal sets and Link-22 signal processing controllers for over 40 years. We produce the highest performance electronic warfare systems on the market ranging from ultra-low size, weight, and power man-portable systems to fully networked, multi-site fixed and mobile electronic support and electronic attack systems. Our systems use state of the art software defined radio, cryptographic, and machine learning technologies developed, integrated, and produced by our team. Job Summary
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of engineer support personnel on the completion of activity on time and budget. Support personnel may include designers and drafters who are responsible to create moderately complex mechanical/electrical/electronic designs for new product parts, subassemblies, assemblies, or systems configurations using CAD or manual systems;
- May supervise technical writers and/or training instructors
- Ability to supervise a group independently
- Manage budget, cost and schedule input for department
- Communicate clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel and the customer as required
- May participate in preparation of proposals
- Provide assistance to lesser experienced employees by: communicating work priorities; providing assistance; verifying accuracy of work
- Mentor direct staff
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Attend appropriate engineering, customer or business meetings

- Associate’s degree in engineering or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
