Our Turf and Consumer Business Unit is hiring for a Supply Chain Improvement Specialist. This role is an opportunity to build on your base knowledge/experience and get involved in many areas of supply chain, building a skill set for future growth in the profession. The role offers variety in day to day work, exposure to many different manufacturing environments, and the ability to directly impact financial results for the company. This position can be based out of our corporate office in Wauwatosa, WI or our Sherrill, NY facility and offers hybrid work opportunity with travel.
Position Description
Leads cross-functional teams including external suppliers to minimize supply chain risk and cost reduction programs for our Turf & Consumer business unit. De-risk supply base by driving creative solutions to temporary and permanent supply chain problems. Manages all internal communications and escalations.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads cross-functional teams including external suppliers to minimize supply chain risk and cost reduction programs.
- Leads the identification of supplier capacity concerns and drives resolution by increasing the incumbent supplier’s capacity or dual sourcing.
- Develops and monitors project schedules and ensures projects meet deadlines.
- Communicates with internal customers regarding program progress.
- Ensures project targets and goals are clearly defined and delivered on time and on budget.
- Highlights areas needing resolution and drives solutions.
- Evaluates current processes and systems for cost reduction and improvement and determines project priorities.
- Prepares and presents information and presentations for management project review meetings.
- Researches and implements best practices for program management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Understanding of financial principles

- Ability to prepare and present complex technical information
- Working understanding financial principle including Return On Investment concepts
- Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse groups of people
- Ability to form, work with and lead a team of diverse individuals in a variety of fields
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Education
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of five years of related experience
- Manufacturing knowledge/experience
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet software and working with large data sets
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Ability to travel 25 - 50%
