Key Role:
Gathers and analyzes policy, data, and other information to further Federal initiatives related to climate change, renewable energy, and sustainability. Supports federal agency programs in achieving environmental, sustainability-related, and climate goals, analyzing their progress against Federal and agency-specific requirements, and complying with relevant regulations and policy. Collaborates to research new policies and guidance and analyzes their impact to federal agency operations. Contributes to data collection and analysis efforts to develop key sustainability metrics on greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water use, waste diversion, fleet electrification, and other agency priorities. Research best practices on topics such as climate mitigation, environmental justice, workforce transformation and training, and decarbonization. Reports on agency progress via visual and written deliverables and strategic communications for both internal and external audiences.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with environmental policy, sustainability, or climate change
Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with data analysis and problem-solving via Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of sustainability and climate change policy
Ability to develop clearly written communications
Ability to build agendas and support meetings, including minutes, coordination, and facilitation
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience preparing research memos, presentations and technical reports
Knowledge of the electric vehicle industry, including topics such as charging infrastructure, energy demand, and workforce training
Knowledge of federal sustainability regulations, such as Executive Order 14008 and 14057, Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, and the Energy Policy Act
Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse set of stakeholders, and create and deliver oral and written presentations
Ability to understand policy, laws, and regulations and perform analysis as required
Bachelor's degree in an Environmental Science field
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $49,800.00 to $102,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. Work Model
