Job description
Position: Embedded Systems Administrator
Location: Livermore, CA
Salary Range: $23.58 - $33.58 per hour
Clearance: Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance. US Citizenship is required for clearance (i.e., no dual citizenships).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain fiber and copper cable plant.
- Perform inside plant wire pulls, terminations, testing, etc.
- Perform outside plant optical fiber pulls, confined space entry, terminations, testing
- Organize and maintain wiring closets, intermediate distribution rooms, and data centers.
- Running patch cables, mounting hardware, following appropriate data center standards
- Working from a ticket queue for phone installation tasks
- Other duties as assigned by the customer.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in STEM field and 4 years of experience in related duties
- In lieu of degree, additional relevant experience is applicable
- U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
- Commscope parts familiarity
- Fiber experience preferred over copper
- BICSI certifications (TECH, installer 1, installer 2, OSP, etc.)
- Communications Security (COMSEC) knowledge
- Avaya VoIP phones: Familiarity with configuration, installation, and troubleshooting phone endpoints.
