*This is a casual-position*

Provide support for software applications and hardware systems that are used by S3I for research and development projects. This includes Oracle Databases and application software including Dimensions Configuration Management (CM) from Micro Focus Corporation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Install and provide administrative support for Oracle database and application software.
  • Applying patches to Oracle database and application software.
  • Implement procedures and configuration changes to maintain compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs).
  • Assist cybersecurity personnel that conduct security scans and make appropriate system configuration changes to address security issues.
  • Maintain documentation to reflect system configuration and procedures.
  • Maintain configuration and database backups to prevent data loss.
  • Conduct system troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and applications to proactively detect and resolve system problems before users are impacted.
    • Oracle Database Administration and Application Development - Must have detailed knowledge of the internal Oracle database structures related to integrity constraints and Oracle Procedural Language (PL/SQL) database procedures. This knowledge is required to investigate and resolve problems in the application schemas and user data.
    • Micro Focus Dimensions (CM) Administration - Must have detail knowledge of the internal database structures associated with the Dimensions CM Items Libraries. This knowledge is required to identify and resolve discrepancies between the contents of the Oracle database and the location of item library on disk.

Required Skills

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
  • Minimum of 12 years of related experience
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Current CompTIA Security+CE certification
  • Microsoft Certificate/Certification
  • Oracle Certificate/Certification
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS SQL Certificate/Certification
  • Linux Certificate/Certification
