Job Overview:

The Talent Acquisition Officer is responsible for full lifecycle recruiting (identifying, attracting, hiring, and retaining our most valuable asset: our people), using various channels including social media, internet platforms, networking, and community outreach to expand the Bank’s influence, contact passive candidates and active jobseekers, build talent pipelines, and onboard new hires.

The Talent Acquisition Officer works primarily on corporate back office positions requiring specialized skill sets. The successful candidate coordinates with hiring managers regularly and proactively to define and continuously refine the business needs of open positions and define the profile of the right candidate, job descriptions, job ads, and sourcing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four (4) years of recruiting experience required.
  • Four (4) or more years’ experience with talent acquisition sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed Resume Search.
  • Demonstrated ability to use advanced sourcing tools and strategies and demonstrated understanding of sourcing automation tools.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, productive relationships both internally and externally.
  • Attention to detail and ability to exercise confidentiality with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficient with all applicable employment laws related to recruitment and selection.
  • Proficiency using applicant tracking systems.
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to exercise confidentiality with discretion and integrity.

Principal Activities and Duties:

  • Source, review, screen, interview (virtual and in-person), and propose candidates to hiring manager(s), including conducting background and reference checks.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using various social media platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn).
  • Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks and assist with multi-channel recruiting process to pipeline high quality talent.
  • Use proactive sourcing techniques including targeted direct calls; canvassing efforts; networking; building partnerships with schools, communities, and diverse organizations/associations; speaking engagements and job fairs; social media recruiting.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members.
  • Providing hiring managers advice and guidance to ensure legal compliance throughout interviewing and hiring process.
  • Work with hiring managers to gather candidate feedback and discuss results to improve candidate experience.
  • Produce a pipeline of qualified candidates and build a robust network of community partnership for the purpose of lead generation.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to interview candidates and make final selection(s).
  • Update job descriptions and specifications as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Communicate regularly with hiring managers regarding the status of open positions.
  • Consult on offer details, provide documentation and research when needed, and manage the pre-employment process, including pre-placement contingencies and paperwork.
  • Participate in job fairs and outreach events as needed.
  • Facilitate and prepare for weekly onboarding sessions for new hires.
  • Special projects and miscellaneous duties as assigned.

This is a hybrid position working three (3) days per week in office and two (2) days per week remote.
