Job description

We are a Day Care and Preschool Educational Center working with children ages 4 months to 5 years of age. We witness and encourage early milestones in our children's development and education. VIP IV DCC is proud to focus on early academics, physical activity, and social emotional learning to nurture healthy bodies, happy hearts, and growing minds.

A typical day in our center includes greeting children and parents at the door; encouraging positive social skills as they play with other children; encouraging a love of learning through foundational early education subjects via songs, artwork, stories, and classwork; assisting children with eating their lunch and snacks; guiding children through daily routines; and sending children clean and happy home with their parents.

Our hours are from 7:00AM-6:00PM. We offer full-time and part-time schedules to accommodate those who may be going to school. Recent graduates and retired teachers are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

STRONG PLUS: Associates in Early Childhood Education / Childhood Education and/or Going for a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education / Childhood Education

Course of Study or College Credits in one of the following areas:

• Early Childhood Education/Education
• General Education
• Elementary Education
• Child Development or Child Psychology
• Special Education

Responsibilities:

• Good communication skills with children, parents and coworkers
• Maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized
• Strong enthusiasm for children
• Patience and humor
• Creativity and flexibility
