Teacher Assistants will assist K-6 Classroom Teachers at Classical Schools in implementing a Core Knowledge(R) curriculum. Homeroom subjects will include Language Arts (Spalding or Riggs Phonics), Mathematics (Singapore), American/World History and Geography, Science, and Chess. Assistant teachers are vital to ensuring that each student is fully engaged in the rich curriculum at an academy. Further, assistant/apprentice teachers are provided with significant teaching opportunities and specific professional development activities designed to prepare these individuals for lead teaching in the future.
