About the role
Working closely with colleagues in the Stanley Burton Centre for Holocaust History, you will contribute to the delivery and development of the School’s teaching in Holocaust History and European History, in addition to supervising undergraduate and post-graduate dissertations. You will maintain an interest in cutting-edge pedagogical approaches to teaching and incorporating these in to your practice, as well as sharing this practice with colleagues.As well as delivering and expanding our teaching portfolio you will be expected to play a key role in our ongoing recruitment strategy: working to augment our open day and offer holder day provision, and to expand our outreach and engagement activities, in particular through enhancing our public-facing programme of events.
You will also be expected to play a full role in the intellectual life of the Stanley Burton Centre, working with colleagues to develop its seminar programme and outreach activities.
About you
You will be a committed and enthusiastic teacher, with prior experience of HEI teaching and a familiarity with innovative pedagogic approaches which you will incorporate these into our undergraduate programmes.As an enthusiastic teacher and communicator, you will be proactive in helping to drive our ambitions to develop close links with students in Schools and Colleges in our regions as part of our recruitment strategy.
