MELT Team Lead job

MELT is looking for a great entry-level store team lead (store manager). The store team lead will be expected to work up to 40 hours a week and 40-45 hours a week during our busy summer season. The ideal candidate will have restaurant/food service experience and leadership or management experience. Candidate must be excited to learn and grow with us and must have a passion for people!


Job Description Overview

The store team lead of MELT is primarily responsible for the following key objectives:

    *Promoting excellent customer service *Overseeing staff culture and development *Recruiting, hiring, and training staff *Creating weekly schedules and optimizing labor costs *Managing ordering and inventory *Maintaining positive vendor relationships *Store organization and cleanliness

Culture:

Developing a staff culture in accordance with the brand’s mission and core values.

Partnership:

Collaborating and communicating positively, timely, and effectively with MELT leadership.

The MELT team lead is responsible for managing and developing the following areas of business:

Profitability:

In order to meet store goals, the store team lead must have day-to-day understanding of the store’s numbers.

Service:

The store team lead should lead MELT to have a consistent and excellent brand representation both in appearances and in interactions with all of our guests and visitors

    *Train and oversee guest service to meet our mission and core values *Manage guest requests *Seek opportunities to go above and beyond with an emphasis on wowing guests and boosting sales

Operations:

The team lead should lead MELT to be a consistent, functional, and profitable store

    *Oversee opening, ongoing, and closing duties and checklists *Manage ongoing maintenance and cleanliness *Supervise proper product prep and workflow

Inventory & Ordering:

    *Inspect daily inventories to manage theft prevention *Weekly inventory & ordering *Maintain proper product quality control with labeling and rotations

Cash Management:

    *Handling deposits and making change *Overseeing tip share *Managing safe balance

Staff & HR:

    *The team lead should lead MELT to have a team that exhibits the company’s culture and also adheres to company policies *Oversee hiring & termination paperwork *Facilitate or coordinate orientations and training of staff *Manage weekly schedules and labor costs *Develop & implement employee improvement plans *Coach staff development for continuous improvement and leadership skills

Community Relations:

  • The team lead must oversee community engagements and also communicate and collaborate with leadership

Pay and Benefits

    *Pay averages $20.00 per hour *Paid Time Off *Full-time employees averaging 30 hours per week or more are eligible for company subsidized health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance as well as company-paid life insurance and disability insurance.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $19.00 - $20.00/hour.
