SUMMARY:
Assists with store management in the operations and activities of the store and staff; Key opening and closing of store; works closely with store management and office staff in making decisions that contribute to the store’s success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises sales floor, providing high-quality customer service and maintaining merchandising and cleanliness standards.
- Ensures payroll, inventory, and shrinkage reduction goals are achieved.
- Ensures that staff is fully trained and has a full knowledge of all products
- Assists with interior and exterior store standards in order to provide a clean well organized store for customers and employees.
- Ensures sales floor is fully stocked and that merchandise and visual standards are being upheld.
- Works with store manager to develop creative plans to increase store sales.
- Provides training, sets performance goals, and provides evaluative feedback to all direct reports.
- Maintains a high level of customer service by ensuring that merchandising/recovery is completed and that register and customer service area is processing customers in a timely manner.
- Assists with the hiring, training, and supervision of associates.
- Motivates, and develops staff; manages schedules and workflow including weekends.
- Assigns duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures.
- Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
- Supervises the unloading of trucks, sorting of merchandise, stocking shelves, ticketing merchandise, and the reconciliation of all cash and inventory transactions.
- Prepares all required reports and paperwork.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs) and climbing.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to four years related experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of retail operations, human resources, and shrink reduction plans.
- Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
