Job Description: RPP Production Costume Designer - Winter 2023

Gasparilla Island Bridge Authority toll pass during production design and show rehearsal period. (No additional benefits are available for this contract position.)

HOURS:

Part-time, and can fluctuate between daytime, nights and weekends depending on production schedule and design needs.

REPORTS TO: RPP Managing Director, and colloaborates with Production Director on design elements

POSITION SUMMARY

Sketches ideas into renderings for Director and Producer approval, and as working drawings along with technical drawings. Responsible for guiding purchases and budgeting of all costume materials for the show. Attends Tech Previews, Producer Previews and all dress rehearsals. Meets all scheduled Production team design deadlines. Attends all dress rehearsals to clarify costumes for actors and dressers. Supervises all actors dressing piece lists. Designs in styles and time periods applicable to the production.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• Exceptional collaboration skills
• Extremely well-organized with the ability to multitask
• Excellent time management skills
• Clear and proficient communicator
• Extensive knowledge of stitching, and clothing construction
• Various sewing and costuming techniques

Job Types: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
