Tow Truck Driver
Local repossession company has an opening for a qualified tow truck driver to assist in recovering vehicles out for repossession. This driver must have knowledge of Western Pennsylvania, and the surrounding area, and have a clean driving record. All applicants are subject to pre-employment drug screening. Experience is a must.
$5K SIGN ON BONUS!!**
Some of the qualifications of our ideal candidate are:
- Minimum 2 years experience operating a wrecker
- Flatbed/rollback experience is a plus
- Clean driving record
- Proficient with laptops
- Ability to properly read a VIN
Please be advised that you must be able to work shift work. Applicants should also have an active medical card. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screenings and random testing. This position pays commission, so the more you pick up, the more you will make. YOU MUST HAVE TOW TRUCK EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION. Please reply to this listing with a copy of your resume.
DESCRIPTION:
- Check over tow truck daily to ensure truck is in working order and you have all proper equipment to repossess vehicles.
- Fuel truck up using the trucks provided quarrels card and personal pin.
- Check View HOT Orders by expiration tab in RDN to see if there are any vehicles that are still out in the field that have been located by an RI.
- Check the office notes tab on the order to receive the information the RI provides when a vehicle is located.
- Print out Repossession orders.
- Drive to location of vehicle either by information given by RI
- Repossess vehicle once the unit is found and you have a valid repossession order in hand containing vehicle identification number (VIN) and vehicle information including the debtors’ info as well as the Bank/Client information.
- Check the last six of the VIN number referencing the repo order before pulling away with unit.
- Check if vehicle is front wheel drive (FWD), Rear wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). If vehicle determined to be AWD the dollies must be used.
- Report repossession to local police department. Philadelphia County you report to the police district you recovered the vehicle in.
- When reporting a repossession in Philadelphia County you must fill out a Philadelphia police report (48) and provide the 48, the repossession order as well as your credentials to the district.
- Tow unit back to yard once collateral was reported to the police.
