Due to expansion of the ACP team, we have an exciting opportunity to join our team of trainee and qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners in Emergency Care at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).
UHS is a major trauma centre, with a commitment to providing ongoing educational and development opportunities in this area. We also work alongside a variety of specialties within the ED and team working is key to our success.The team now has 8 credentialed ACPs from both nursing and paramedic backgrounds. There are currently 9 trainees at various stages of working towards credentialed with the RCEM. There is an ACP forum, for ACPs across all specialties and professions to network and share learning. As a large teaching hospital, there are many opportunities to develop your career as an ACP. Ongoing training and education is an important aspect of the role with many teaching activities including ACP supervision, junior doctor teaching and trauma study days
