We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our Logistics Department.

Your tasks will include:

• Booking pallets by hauliers
• Making sure that products are delivered to the right place and in the delivery window booked
• Giving out the correct paperwork to the drivers
• Logging despatched loads
• Keeping in close touch with all our hauliers and supporting them with delivery issues
• KPI's POD’s
• Organising tray collections
• Organising last minute specials collections
• In close contact with the warehouse informing them of any changes regarding loading vehicles
• Creating load plans
• Enquiring delivery issues with hauliers
• Inputting/changing orders
• Completing daily load plan / outload report
• Printing delivery notes, Pick and check sheets
• De-hiring trays
• Keeping account managers up to date of all changes in orders

Job requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Numerate
• Able to use a computer and understand and use basic spreadsheet applications.
• Able to work accurately often at speed
• Timely and punctual.
• Thorough and methodical.
• Flexible – has the ability and skills to work in a different area of supply chain at short notice.
• Previous logistics and/or warehousing experience desirable.
• Good team worker.

The shift pattern is Thursday – Saturday alt. Wednesday

8am – 7pm

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per year
