Job description

We’re looking for an Experienced CDL (B) Driver to join a team of experienced utility construction personnel. Our opportunities are in the South Shore and Greater Boston region.

J. McDonagh Inc. is a small trucking and equipment company that subcontracts with a larger company and specializes in natural gas construction. This is a year-round job. During the winter we have a contract with the state for snow and ice removal. Tons of hours available on a combo truck. This position is for an experienced CDL Driver. Most of our civil utility work takes place within temporary work zones; in roadways, sidewalks, and the side of roads.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must drive dump body to transport materials such as sand, gravel,,
• Must have skills to conduct pre-trip inspection checklist on equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
• Must be able to carry out detailed instructions, take directions to job sites,
• Must be a team player.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following: Experience; ability to drive a standard transmission; a valid CDL; a valid DOT medical card; and must be able to pass a drug test.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Braintree, MA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)
