Job description
The Lake Erie Crushers are looking for Ushers & Ticket Takers for 2023 baseball season. This is a seasonal position requiring availability for a significant portion of our 50 game season between early May and Late August.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Scan tickets at main gate or 3rd base gate
- Check bags and make sure no outside food/drink is allowed in ballpark
- Stamp those who are leaving and coming back in
- Do not let anyone leave facility to simply chase foul balls
- Open gates with Box Office Managers approval
- Enforce all rules and regulations of Mercy Health Stadium.
- Provide first-class customer service, and build relationships to all who enter the ballpark.
- Provide direction to guests in finding their respective seats and/or hospitality areas in a clear, effective, and professional manner.
- Provide a courtesy cleaning of guest’s seats and/or area when necessary.
- Address and quickly resolve guest inquiries, ticket questions, and errant seat occupancy.
- Be attentive to the surroundings of the event to ensure the safety of all guests in the ballpark.
- Aid with in- and post-game security for events that may take place throughout the ballpark.
- Assist guests in the need of emergency evacuation of all areas of the ballpark.
- Keep aisles clear of guests and obstructions.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Expectations:
- Adhere to Lake Erie Crushers organizational policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Have a passion for working with and helping people.
- Maintain a positive attitude when dealing with adverse conditions.
- Ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for long periods of times and go up and down steps each half inning.
- Flexible Scheduling: Availability to work the majority of home games, as well as other outside events. Working weekends (Friday through Sunday) is a MUST.
- Treat EVERY guest as if it's their first time coming to the ballpark.
- Smile, be friendly, and have a fun time.
Compensation is hourly rate and those hired are eligible for free tickets and discounts in our Team store.
