Job description
Joy Wallace Catering is 34 year old off-premise catering company located in Miami, FL. We are currently seeking a Venue Manger to manage a new venue we have acquired. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Follow-up on leads in a timely manner
- Provide tours as requested by potential clients
- Execute rental and catering contracts
- Upsell ancillary services
- Work with marketing company on increasing lead generation
- Work with clients throughout the process leading up to event execution
- Work with off-site sales team on custom options
- Work with preferred vendors
- Manage on-site staff when necessary
- Work with property management company to ensure our needs for events are followed through
This position will allow for some remote work and flexible hours based on client demand. Pay will be salaried plus commission and will commensurate with experience. We offer benefits such as health, dental and life insurance, PTO, and 401K.
Skills:
- Must be able to work effectively with little to no supervision
- Computer skills are a must and basic understanding of MS Word, Excel, and PDF
- Bilingual is a must
- Great customer service skills
- Sales experience preferred but not required
- Understanding of events, more specifically weddings
- Prior venue experience preferred
